Day 1 - Lama and Alpacahof Triesenberg

Holidays - finally some rest and relaxation just in front of the door. No traffic jam, no bored kids, no stress. As soon as one passes the Rhine and sees the mountain panorama unfold, one can take a deep breath. First stop: the Lama- & Alpaka-Hof in Triesenberg. Marc Schädler and Anna-Lena Beck are looking forward to their young guests. Their Lamas are little stars in the mountains. Barely one child drives home without another cuddle with Karl, Aurora or Balou. Today, a trekking with the woolly friends is on schedule. Including a picnic on the road - an unforgettable experience for families.

Lama in Triesenberg

Back at the farm you want to visit the small store there. Oh what treats you'll find there. Seasonal products from Liechtenstein that taste so well. Tired but still excited about the day, kids will fall asleep soon in the tipi tent. Be ready for the next day to start early.

Day 2 - Explorer path in Malbun

Excitement is in the air. The explorer path is calling! Discover Malbun and the mountain area. "Mom, it's gonna be raining today", screams Louis. He's upset. "One can tell the weather by watching the clouds", he explains. He now also knows that the alpine salamander gives birth to completely developped babies. Lisa doesn't care at all. Her world are the mountain flowers: gentian, carlina and globe flower. And Florian discovered a new passion: he's building one stone tower after another.

Even small Einsteins will get a bit tired. Time to check in at the family hotel because hunger is slowely coming up. Lunch break at 2000m above sea level at the Sareis restaurant - how exciting!

But rest won't take too long, the kids want to go back to Malbun to the Schlucher-Treff. Electric cars, Minigolf, the huge trampolin and a play park. And for mommy and daddy there's coffee and cake at the restaurant next to it. What a great day! Now have a look at the kids club in the hotel and that's it.

Day 3 - Wals Fable Trail

Long, long time ago they lived: Giants, dragons and witches. At one place in Liechtenstein one can still find their traces - hidden and well protected. Only ingenious little explorers can solve the riddle of the legends at the Wals fable trail. The varied theme trail is telling the story of the Wals community of Triesenberg on info panels. Noone's astonished that the trunk behind the bushes suddenly resembles a dragon. Wasn't there a fairy?

Starting point for the 5.5 kilometres of the trail is the village square of Triesenberg. The hike to Masescha is not suitable for strollers and it's best wearing outdoor shoes. Strollers can be used from Masescha to Rizlina (2.3 kilometres). The last part of the trail passes by the Studa playground and the Rossboda picnic area before leading back to the village square. Tired but happy the kids get back to the car and barely notice the way back home. They're dreaming of dragons and elves. Liechtenstein, we'll be back soon!
