Maurerberg

Beginning at the Post-office in Schaanwald the Bike tour to the Maurerberg (Maurer mountain) is on a forest path.

Between the numerous turns there are also climbs which come at regular intervals within the forest and an elevation difference of over 800 meters is reached. At around 1008 meters above sea level you reach the Paula cabin, from which you can enjoy the wonderful view of the Rhine valley and all the way to Lake Constance. The route then leads from the Paula cabin on a 300 elevation meters climb until you reach the area of Gerawald where the possibility to continue with a mountain bike ends. The route for the descent is the same as the ascent and should be tackled with care as one can expect to meet oncoming vehicles.
