Tina’s top 5 winter tips
The early bird catches the worm
The snowsports paradise of Malbun is just a 15-minute drive from Tina’s home in the capital Vaduz. That makes it possible to enjoy a good night’s sleep and a relaxing start to the day while at the same time being one of the first to cruise the freshly groomed pistes in the morning.
Fuel up in Malbun
With its restaurants and hotels, Malbun offers skiers plenty of opportunities to stop off and fuel up either during or after a hard day out on the pistes. Tina and Büxi are among those who can be found enjoying a quick snack between runs and a traditional evening meal at the end of the day.
Snowshoe hike to the Alpspitz mountain
While many dare climb the Alpspitz only in the summer months, this beautiful hike is in fact also a great adventure for experienced snowshoe walkers in winter – and a great way to train away from the ski slopes.
Cross-country skiing by moonlight
Exploring the cross-country skiing trails in Steg is a special experience both during the day and at night. The trails are floodlit from 17:00 until 21:30, giving keen cross-country enthusiasts the chance to experience moonlight skiing.
Sunset at Sareis
Watching the sunset from the Berggasthaus Sareis high in the mountains is the perfect way to end an action-packed day on the slopes. When the sun has disappeared behind the horizon, it is time to hurry inside and enjoy a hearty fondue at 2000 metres above sea level.
